A smooth, clear and younger looking skin is everyone’s dream. But for you to achieve it, you have to make some effort. Not so much effort though. A simple thing such as eating the right foods can get you there.
See, Mother Nature has gifted us with all the things we need to live a healthy life. Yet sometimes we are too reluctant to try them out for our own good. For you to have great skin, try to incorporate these foods into your diet:
Yaay, it’s avocado season already. And you now have yet another reason to eat more and more avocados while the season last. Avocados are enriched in healthy fats that are good for the skin as well as vitamin E which protects the skin from free radical damage. Also, studies show that avocados contain compounds that protect the skin from damage by the UV rays.
Fatty fish such as salmon and mackerel contain omega 3 fatty acids which keep the skin moisturized and healthy. They also contain vitamin E and enough protein for healthy skin.
The orange color in sweet potatoes marks the presence of beta carotene. These carotenoids are later converted into vitamin A in the body. The carotenoids protect the skin from the damage by the sun. Other foods rich in beta carotene include carrots, orange, and red bell peppers.
You wouldn’t expect tomatoes on the list but they are really great for the skin. Tomatoes contain vitamin C, lycopene and beta carotene, all which promote healthy and glowing skin.
When was the last time you had broccoli? It’s probably been months. Some of the best foods may not necessarily be the yummiest but you should still eat them for good health. Broccoli contains vitamin C, vitamin A, and zinc. The vitamins and minerals contained in broccoli prevent the oxidative damage that could lead to wrinkling.
In short, foods rich in vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin E, and those containing healthy fats such as nuts.
